Activities & Sports
Non-free watersports: Windsurfing (Local charge), sailing (Local charge), waterskiing (Local charge) and deep sea fishing (Local charge - North Kenya’s fishing season runs from September through to the end of April and is at its best from November to mid March when billfish are most prevalent here. )
Other activities: Utamaduni, the beautiful 62 foot sailing dhow - guests may charter Utamaduni for day trips, over night trips or a full safari. She sleeps a maximum of six. It has a sheltered mangrove creek and the calm waters are ideal for water skiing. Guests can ski at high tide, yet just outside the creek there is generally enough breeze for kite-surfing. For more experienced divers there is a wide selection of scuba equipment and a range of fantastic dive-sites. Creek fishing - Trevally, king fish and barracuda are all plentiful in the creek around the lodge.
